אני לא מאלו שמחכות לחורף בציפייה וגם לא מאלו שאוהבות לקפץ בשלוליות ולחזור עם גרביים רטובות הביתה. 

I am not one of those who wait for the winter with anticipation and like to step in puddles and come back home with wet socks.

מוכר בשוק הפשפשים - A Trader in the Flea Market

זה ידוע שהשוק הזה הוא מקור בלתי נגמר לזמן שיטוט וצילום. העובדה שאני מתגוררת במרחק יריקה ממנו, בכלל הופכת את העניין לחלק מהרוטינה שלי. משהו בחדש-ישן, במלכודות התיירים הצפויות מראש ובישראליות המובהקת שלו משמח כל פעם מחדש. רוכל שמתמחה בכלי נגינה מגולפים בעץ בצורת צפרדעים ושפריריות.

It is known that this market is an endless resource for wondering around and taking photographs.  I live just around the block from it, there for it is part of my routine. There is something in this game of new and old, in the foreseeable tourist traps and in its typical Israeli mentality that makes me happy every time. This is a trader who specializes in music wooden music instruments curved into frog and dragonfly like figures.

פולניה - Polish

את הסרוויס הזה קיבלתי במתנה. בקרוב הוא יופיע פה במלוא הדרו, עם דוגמת השיש המוזרה בחוץ והזהב המנצנץ בפנים. בינתיים הוא מעטר את המדף העליון בשידת הספרים.

I received this tableware set as a present. Soon it will be displayed here in all its glory, with the strange marble pattern and the sparkling in the inner part. Mean while it is placed nicely on the top shelf, above the books. 

הלואין - Halloween

האמת, אין לי שום מושג לגבי החג הזה, חוץ מהתבוננות בתמונות מהניכר. גדושות תחפושות, ממתקים ודלועים.

את התמונות האלו צילמתי גם אני בארץ אחרת. ממש לא מזמן.

To be honest, I know nothing about Halloween except what I saw in pictures from abroad, full of pumpkins and candy. I shot those photos, too, in a different country. Not so long ago.
